Toronto Beaches Junior A lacrosse team set for Game Five tonight as playoff series with Whitby tied at two wins each

Even at two wins each, Game Five in the best-of-seven Ontario Junior Lacrosse League’s (OJLL) second round playoff series between Toronto Beaches and the Whitby Warriors is slated for tonight.
The match will be played at the Pickering Recreation Complex (1867 Valley Farm Dr.) at 8 p.m. and is a home game for the Beaches. The Pickering Recreation Complex is where the Beaches home games are taking place during the playoffs as the ice has now been put back into Ted Reeve Arena, which was the local team’s home during the OJLL regular season.
Going into this past weekend, the Beaches and Warriors were tied at one win apiece in the series. Coming out of this weekend they remained tied in the series, and tonight’s tilt is hugely important as it will put the winner only one victory away from clinching the series.
In Game Three on Friday, July 25, night at the Pickering Recreation Complex, Whitby won 9-6. The Beaches bounced back in Game Four yesterday afternoon (Sunday, July 27) with an 11-9 win.
Game Six in the series will be played at Whitby’s Iroqouis Park Sports Centre, 500 Victoria St. W.7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30.
If necessary, Game Seven will be at the Pickering Recreation Complex at 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 31.
The winner of this playoff series will play the winner of the series between the Orangeville Northmen and the Peterborough Lakers for a chance to win the Ontario championship Iroquois Cup.
