Subway closure between Woodbine and Broadview stations to take place this Saturday and Sunday

East Toronto transit users are being reminded that there will be no subway service this Saturday and Sunday between Woodbine and Broadview stations.

The subway closure between those stations will be on Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18, during this long weekend; but will not impact service on Victoria Day (Monday, May 19).

During the closure, subway service between Woodbine and Broadview stations on Saturday and Sunday will be replaced by shuttle buses.

Chester Station will also be closed during this time, however all other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase a PRESTO card, ticket and connect to surface routes.

The closure is taking place for the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to do track work along the line.

Extra Wheel-Trans buses will be operating between Woodbine and Broadview stations to help any customer requiring assistance.

Regular subway service will resume on Monday, May 19 at 6 a.m.
