Residents invited to online panel meeting on COVID-19 vaccine rollout in East Toronto

East Toronto residents concerned about the COVID-19 vaccine rollout are invited to attend an online panel discussion hosted by Michael Garron Hospital this week.
Panelists include infectious disease specialist Dr. Janine McCready, who will speak on her work with the school system on prevention and testing; medical director of critical care Dr. Michael Warner will speak on the importance of vaccinations; and emergency physician Dr. Adil Shamji who will discuss the hospital’s vaccine rollout strategy.
Michael Garron Hospital president and CEO Sarah Downey will also join the discussion.
As the Province of Ontario enters Phase 2 of its vaccine rollout, the panelists aim to answer questions from residents submitted in advance or during the event.
The virtual discussion takes place on Thursday, April 8 at 7 p.m.
The event is free and open to all to take part in.
