When you want change, you need to be the change. After years of consideration, I decided to finally run for City Council and become the change I’ve been wanting to see.

My name is Ariel-Rachel Karokis, I hold strong to my Christian Faith, I’m blessed to be the mother of three young little girls and to have the opportunity to raise them here in southwest Scarborough.

My background in Property Management and Development has given me the skills needed to keep a budget, stay on schedule, and to work well with others to accomplish our objectives.

Raising a family while the neighbourhoods around us are falling apart isn’t what I was planning. We need to build the streets, sidewalks, support our local businesses in this tough economic time, support and fund our Toronto police department. Crimes such as shootings, car thefts and home invasions are on all time highs.

Raising a family and trying to survive in this time and age has been difficult, and has only been getting harder. I will vote NO to tax increases. I will correct our spending, get the proper funding and investments we deserve, and build a stronger Scarborough for everyone.
