Man, 78, sought in connection with alleged assault in Queen and Pape area
Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection to an aggravated assault investigation in East Toronto that left a victim with serious injuries.
According to police, on Monday, July 27, at approximately 9 a.m., officers responded to a call for an alleged assault in the Queen Street East and Pape Avenue area.
Police say that the victim and suspect were known to each other. Officers located the victim, and transported them to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Jian Liu, 78, of Toronto is wanted for aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
He is described as five-foot-eight, with a medium build and balding.
An image has been released in the hopes that someone will inform police of his whereabouts.
