UPDATE – OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHT CANCELLED DUE TO AIR QUALITY: Pitch Perfect at Kew Gardens will now be screened on Aug. 19

UPDATE: This screening of the movie has been cancelled for tonight (July 15) due to the poor air quality conditions from forest fire smoke now blanketing Toronto. The movie has been rescheduled to the night of Wednesday, Aug. 19.

Made in 2012, Pitch Perfect features an ensemble cast including Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Ben Platt, Adam DeVine, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, and Skylar Astin. The story follows a number of a capella singing groups on the campus of the fictional Barden University as they complete for a championship.

Presented by The Beach BIA and sponsored by The Richards Group, the Outdoor Summer Movie Series features a number of family-friendly film shown on Wednesday nights throughout July and August at Kew Gardens, 2075 Queen St. E.

Those attending the screenings at Kew Gardens should bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, and are also encouraged to patronize local businesses in the area before the movies start.

Here’s an updated full schedule of the outdoor films remaining to be shown this summer:

● Wednesday, July 22- Ratatouille

●Wednesday, August 12- Practical Magic

A rain/weather date of Aug. 26 has also been set aside if needed
