Can you hear it? The thumping kicks of a high beats per minute (BPM) electronic jam. Well, if you’re anywhere near the Electric Island Festival happening at the South River in the Port Lands this weekend, be sure to keep an ear out for the sounds of popular electronic artists such as Four Tet, Adam Beyer, and the UKG (United Kingdom Garage) icon himself, Sammy Virji.

Although sounds from the show near Don Roadway and Commissioners Street might be heard across the city’s lower east side, those who wish to experience the artists up close and personal can do so by purchasing tickets for one day, or two-day passes to the all-weekend music festival.

Ticket types include general admission, VIP, and stage access, each ranging in price from $90 to $290.

Tickets prices for the Saturday, June 27 event are $160 for general admission, $190 for VIP, and $290 for stage access.

On Sunday, June 28, ticket prices are $90 for general admission, $120 for VIP, and $200 for stage access.

Alternatively, two-day passes can be purchased for $195 for general admission or $225 for VIP. Please note that ticket prices include fees and taxes.

With several big names in the electronic scene kicking off the event on Saturday (including Sammy Virji), ticket prices are slightly more expensive compared to Sunday’s event.

However, Sunday’s show is not without its fair share of heavy hitters, with artists such as Lee Burridge, Chris Stussy, and Hot Since 82 taking the stage to deliver energizing performances.

The event will run each day from 2:30 to 10 p.m. Those planning on attending should note that the front gates will close promptly at 8:30 p.m., and any ticket purchasers arriving after that time will not be permitted to enter the venue.

VIP pass holders can enter the venue through a separate entrance. The venue’s VIP areas offer dedicated bar service and lounge, expanded washrooms, and other unique brand activations. The VIP Area is located near the festival entrance, adjacent to the main stage.

Stage access tickets will include on-stage access for Stage 1 only (subject to capacity) and include VIP ticket privileges. Electric Island is a 19+ event, and valid government issued photo I.D. is required.

Those who wish to skip the event and get straight to partying can do so by purchasing tickets to The Official Electric Island Afterparty, which will take place directly after each night’s event at Coda (794 Bathurst St.) from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. While tickets for Saturday’s afterparty are already sold out, tickets for Sunday can still be purchased for $25 plus tax.

Now in its 14th season, this year’s Electric Island festival spans eight days across four weekends throughout the spring/summer season. Following this weekend’s event, Electric Island will host just two more events in August and September, though venues have not yet been determined.
