No injuries in 10th floor balcony fire at Crescent Town building

No injuries have been reported in a two-alarm fire at an apartment building in Crescent Town early this afternoon.

Toronto Fire Services were called to 7 Crescent Place, in the Victoria Park Avenue and Crescent Road area, at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, for a reported fire on a 10th floor balcony.

No occupants were in the apartment unit during the fire, said Toronto Fire Media.

Numerous fire vehicles responded to the two-alarm fire, and police have Crescent Road closed westbound at Victoria Park.

Crews and emergency services remain at the scene to minimize damage and ventilate the building, and residents have advised residents to shelter in place.

Cause of the fire is under investigation.
