There will be no GO train service on the Lakeshore East line this weekend, including at Danforth station, due to planned construction work and local commuters are being advised to plan accordingly.

This weekend’s planned construction will begin late on Friday, April 10, with adjusted GO train service, and continue through the weekend. The service will reopen on the morning of Monday, April 13, but riders are being warned to expect likely delays as trains will be moving slower.

For this weekend, GO Transit will be running shuttle busses to connect Durham Region residents to Union Station, with no service between Union and Pickering GO stations.

However, affected East Toronto residents who usually use GO Trains from Rouge Hill, Guildwood, Eglinton, Scarborough and Danforth GO stations are advised to use TTC services instead.

Regular Lakeshore East GO train service, running at normal speeds, is expected to resume on Tuesday, April 14.
