Police seek man after 13-year-old girl allegedly harassed in Upper Beach area

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with an alleged criminal harassment incident in the Swanwick Avenue and Hannaford Street area yesterday afternoon.
According to a police news release issued today (April 7) at 4:15 p.m., officers were called to the Upper Beach area for the reported incident at approximately 4 p.m. on Monday, April 6.
Police said a 13-year-old girl was walking in the area when a man allegedly blocked her way on the sidewalk. The girl was able to pass the man but he then continued to follow her, police alleged.
The girl fled the area and police were called, said today’s news release.
The man is described as five-feet, 10-inches tall, with a medium build and shoulder length hair. He was wearing a dark-hooded sweater, blue jeans, and black shoes.
An image of the suspect has been released by police in the hopes that someone can identify him.

UPDATE: Toronto police announced in a news release on April 9, that an arrest had been made in this incident of April 8. Daniel Frayne, 30, has been charged with Harassment by Watching and Besetting.
