Man sought after gun brandished in East Toronto driving dispute last week

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect and locating a vehicle as part of an investigation into an incident involving a firearm last week.

On Friday, April 3, at around 12:15 a.m., police responded to a call for suspicious activity in the Gerrard Street East and Woodbine Avenue area.

Police alleged a man was driving a white Chrysler Pacifica minivan and got into an altercation with another driver, proceeded to block the other driver with his vehicle, exited his vehicle and produced a firearm before returning to his own vehicle and fleeing.

No shots were fired in the incident nor were there any injuries, said police.

Police said the suspect is described as having an olive complexion, about 40 years of age, bald with a beard and wearing a green sweater.

An image of a white Chrysler Pacifica vehicle has been released by Toronto police in case anyone saw such a minivan in the East Toronto area around the time of the incident or might have information leading to the identification of the driver.
