Scarborough Southwest federal byelection 2026: Advance polls open this Friday through Monday

Advance polls for the Scarborough Southwest federal byelection will be open this Easter long weekend.
The dates the advance polls will be open are Friday, April 3; Saturday, April 4; Sunday, April 5; and Monday, April 6. The advance polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Voters in Scarborough Southwest should have received a Voter Information Card which also has the location of the advance polls, which are determined by were in the riding a resident lives.
For those who do not vote in the advance polls, Election Day is on Monday, April 13. The polls on Election Day will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Candidates running in this Scarborough Southwest federal byelection are Doly Begum for the Liberal Party; Diana Filipova of the Conservative Party; April Francisco, Independent; Peter Koubakis, People’s Party of Canada; Pooja Malhotra from the Green Party; Lyall Sanders for the Centrist Party; Fatima Shaban from the New Democratic Party; and David Vedova of the Christian Heritage Party.

The vote in Scarborough Southwest is one of three federal byelections set for April 13. The others are in Toronto’s University-Rosedale riding and Quebec’s Terrebonne riding.
