Parkside Elementary School set to perform musical production this Thursday

By KAT BERGERON
Parkside Elementary School students will be performing their musical production Parkside – Snowed In on the evening of Thursday, March 5.
“The musical is a reflection of the students. It’s really their musical. We wanted the students to really get the chance to be creative and involved and they decided on what would be more fun,” said teacher and organizer Rebecca Möllemann.
“We have songs from different cultures, with instruments, singing and dancing in between scenes on stage. The students really helped to make this production reflective of our school.”
The production has been a collaborative effort from students in the East York school’s dance club, choir, Grades 1 through 5 classes and students involved as set-builders and actors.
Parent volunteers and teachers Pria Patroni and Möllemann helped organize and write the production.
Planning and writing began in September 2025, with rehearsals taking place in advance of the performance, following months of work finalizing the roles, writing and ideas.
The March 5 evening performance is sold out, but parents still looking to get tickets should contact the school principal at 416-396-2425.
