Police seek to identify male suspect in stabbing near Danforth and Carlaw avenues

Toronto police are asking the public for help identifying a suspect in a stabbing investigation.

At around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, officers responded to a call for an alleged stabbing in the Danforth and Carlaw avenues area.

According to police, the victim was approached by a man and then allegedly stabbed following a brief altercation.

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the suspect was seen fleeing northbound on Carlaw Avenue.

The suspect is described as 30 years of age, six-feet tall, with a short beard and black hair tied in a bun on top of his head, last seen wearing glasses, a grey scarf, black running shoes, black jeans and a black winter jacket.

Toronto police are looking to identify this man in connection with an alleged stabbing in the Danforth and Carlaw avenues area early in the morning of Saturday, Feb. 28.

An image of the suspect has been released by police in the hopes that someone can identify him.
