Southwood Drive closed after crash as icy roads disrupt transit

Slippery road conditions and a collision are causing delays for local commuters Monday morning.

The TTC says the 64 Main bus is detouring via Kingston Road, Woodbine Avenue and Queen Street East due to icy streets as of 9:30 a.m.

Southwood Drive is also closed to all traffic between Glen Ames Road and Kingston Road following a personal injury collision. Beach Metro Community News observed three vehicles and a southbound TTC bus involved in the crash.

In a separate incident a short distance south, a northbound bus on Southwood required assistance to make it up the hill in the slick conditions. Drivers are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes.

The TTC said the 64 Main Bus is detouring via Kingston Rd, Woodbine Ave and Queen St E due to road conditions.

Update: Regular TTC service has resumed between Wineva Ave at Queen St East and Southwood Dr at Kingston Rd.
