Police seek man in connection with alleged assault in Danforth and Glebemount avenues area

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection with an alleged assault in the Danforth and Glebemount avenues area earlier this week.
Police were called to the area on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at approximately 11:37 p.m. for a reported assault.
According to police, the victim was approached by a man inside an establishment in the area. The suspect and victim became involved in a verbal argument, police alleged. The victim and suspect went outside and the victim was allegedly assaulted, said police.
The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for serious but non-life-threating injuries, said police.
The suspect fled the area before police arrived.
The male suspect is described as 35 to 40 years old, six-feet tall, weighing 160 pounds, with short black hair. He was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, a black jacket with fur on the hood, dark blue jeans, dark-coloured boots, and a green “Under Armour” toque.
Police said the suspect has a possible name of “Russell.”
An image has been released by police in the hopes that someone can identify the suspect.
