Virtual community consultation meeting on proposal for 11-storey building on Main Street, near library, set for this Thursday

Residents are invited to learn more about a proposal for an 11-storey mixed-use residential building just north of the Main Street Library at a virtual community consultation meeting slated for this Thursday evening.
The building proposal is for a site at 143-147 Main St., south of Gerrard Street East and north of the library.
The Feb. 12 virtual community consultation meeting takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. To join the meeting via Microsoft Teams, visit https://haveyoursay.toronto.ca/city-planning-development-review-community-consultations for the registration link and instructions on how to join.
Visitors can also join by phone at 1-647-749-7152 and enter Meeting ID: 804 719 143#. If joining by phone, press *5 to raise your hand.
Attendees are encouraged to join 10 minutes before the meeting begins to allow time to log on.
The proposed mixed-use residential building will include 56 units (seven of which are rental replacement units), four visitor vehicle parking spaces and 62 bicycle parking spaces.
The development proposal will ensure the Main Street Village post office heritage site will be preserved with the new project slated for the property.
There are currently two businesses operating at the site: Kreative Rehab Inc. and Gemaro Bakery.
