Man, 38, charged in connection with alleged assaults at group home for vulnerable adults in East Toronto

A 38-year-old Toronto man who worked as a caregiver at an East Toronto group home for vulnerable adults has been arrested and charged with seven counts of assault.

From Nov. 1 and Nov. 30 of last year, Toronto police alleged that a man committed a series of assaults on residents of the home.

Police responded to the call about the alleged assaults in the Sibley and Dentonia Park avenues area on the morning of Dec. 10, 2025..

Police then issued an appeal to the public to help locate a suspect.

In a news release on the afternoon of Monday, Jan. 12, police said Oghenemaro Dave Ejerua, 38, had been arrested last week and charged with seven counts of assault.
