East Toronto residents can welcome the New Year, chat with local politicians, at pair of Sunday levees

Residents of Beaches-East York and Toronto-Danforth will have a pair of chances to meet with their political representatives as two different New Year’s Levees are planned locally for this afternoon.
The East York New Year’s Levee is set for Sunday, Jan. 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the East York Civic Centre, 850 Coxwell Ave.
Also on Jan. 11, a levee hosted by Beaches-East York MPP Mary-Margaret McMahon and Beaches-East York MP Nathaniel Erskine-Smith will take place at the Naval Club of Toronto, 1910 Gerrard St. E., just west of Woodbine Avenue. This levee takes place from 2 to 5 p.m.
Residents are invited to drop by to chat with their provincial and federal representatives, and fellow neighbours, enjoy some refreshments and welcome 2026.
Local councillors expected to attend the East York New Year’s Levee, presented by the East York Foundation and the East York Hall of Fame, are Beaches-East York Councillor Brad Bradford, Toronto-Danforth Councillor Paula Fletcher and Don Valley West Councillor Rachel Chernos Lin.
Those attending the levee at the East York Civic Centre are asked to bring donations of non-perishable food items for donation to local food banks. Along with refreshments, conversation and socializing among neighbours, the East York levee will also feature activities and a colouring table for children.
