Identity of suspect sought after stabbing yesterday afternoon near Main and Danforth

Toronto police are investigating after a man was stabbed in the Main Street and Danforth Avenue area on the afternoon of Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Toronto police have released photos of a man they are looking for in connection with an investigation into a stabbing in the Main Street and Danforth Avenue area yesterday afternoon.

Police were called to the area on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at approximately 2:11 p.m. The incident allegedly took place in a cell phone/electronics shop on Danforth Avenue just west of Main Street.

According to police, the male victim was approached by a man and a verbal altercation took place. The suspect then allegedly stabbed the victim and fled east on Danforth Avenue, police said.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as male, approximately 30 years old, approximately six-feet tall, with a medium build, black braids, and a short black beard. He was last seen wearing a black and grey puffer jacket, blue jeans, and a black backpack.

Images of the suspect have been released by the police.
