Police investigate stabbing in Main Street and Danforth Avenue area

Toronto police are looking for a male suspect after a man was stabbed in the Main Street and Danforth Avenue area earlier this afternoon.

Police said the victim has been taken to hospital, but the extent of the injuries is “unknown” at this time.

Officers were called to the area of Main and Danforth, at approximately 2:11 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, for reports that a stabbing had taken place.

Police said on X (formerly Twitter) that the suspect had fled the area prior to the arrival of the officers.

An updated description from police said the suspect is described as Black, approximately six-feet tall, with dreadlocks, and wearing a green or brown jacket.

The suspect was last seen heading east on Danforth Avenue from Main Street, police said.
