Deja Views: Share your memories of The Family Theatre on Queen Street East in the Beach

The Family Theatre near Queen Street East and Lee Avenue is shown in this photo believed to have been taken in the 1950s.

By DAVID VAN DYKE

There is no specific date of this archival photograph (above) on the southeast corner of Queen Street East and Lee Avenue, and the name of the photographer is not known.

I do know that The Family Theatre (a 600-seat venue) closed its doors sometime in the 1950s.

If there is a reader who would like to share a story about this theatre, I would be keen to hear it.

The building as it now looks is home to the Royal Bank branch. Photo by David Van Dyke.
