In Photos: Big turnout for this year’s Beaches Terry Fox Run helps raise more than $120,000

A huge crowd of participants came out for the 44th annual Beaches Terry Fox Run on Sunday, Sept. 14.

The run started on the Boardwalk near the Woodbine Pavilion shortly after 9 a.m.

Prior to the start of the run the Beaches Dance and Music Studio led participants in a warm-up session.

This year’s Beaches Terry Fox Run raised $120,495 toward cancer research, and exceeded its fundraising goal of $115,800. Since it first took place in 1982, the local Terry Fox Run has now raised more than $2.4 million.
