Beaches look to even up Ontario Junior Lacrosse League playoff series tonight in Whitby

The Toronto Beaches Junior A lacrosse team will be looking to even up its best-of-seven playoff series against the Whitby Warriors tonight.

Game Two in the Ontario Junior Lacrosse League (OJLL) series is set for Thursday, July 24, at the Iroqouis Park Sports Centre, 500 Victoria St. W. in Whitby at 7:30 p.m.

In the series’ opening tilt, the Warriors won 10-3 in a game played at the Pickering Recreation Complex (1867 Valley Farm Rd.)

While the Beaches team played its regular season home games at Ted Reeve Arena on Main Street, the local rink is putting its ice back in and the remainder of the Beaches home playoff games will now be held at the Pickering Recreation Complex.

Game Three of the series is on Friday, July 25, at the Pickering Recreation Complex at 8 p.m., and Game Four goes on July 27 at Iroquois Park at 4 p.m.

If necessary, Game Five will be on July 28 at the Pickering Recreation Complex at 8 p.m.; Game Six will be at Iroquois Park at 7:30 p.m. on July 30; and Game Seven will be at the Pickering Recreation Complex at 8 p.m. on July 31.

The winner of this playoff series will play the winner of the series between the Orangeville Northmen and the Peterborough Lakers for a chance to win the Ontario championship Iroquois Cup.
