Public’s help sought by police in investigation of aggravated assault at Woodbine Beach Park on Sunday night

Toronto police are investigating an aggravated assault at Woodbine Beach Park on the night of Sunday, June 22, that left a male victim serious injuries.

Police are asking for the public’s help into an assault that took place in Woodbine Beach Park on the night of Sunday, June 22.

Police said a male victim was assaulted and seriously injured by several unknown suspects. The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Officers were called to the area at approximately 11 p.m. on June 22 for a reported assault at the Woodbine Beach Bathing Station by the Boardwalk.

Investigators believe bystanders may have witnessed the incident or recorded the incident and shared it on social media. Anyone who thinks they may have video footage or photos are asked to submit them here

UPDATE: In a news release on Monday, June 30, police provided descriptions of three male suspects being sought in connection with this incident. The first suspect is described as black. five-feet, six-inches to five-feet, seven-inches tall, age 30 to 35-years old, with a muscular build, cornrows, and full beard. He was wearing a plain white top and possibly blue jeans. The second suspect is described as black, six-feet tall, with a large build. The third suspect is described as black, five-feet, nine-inches to five-feet, 10-inches tall, with messy braids. He was wearing black sunglasses, black hat, and all black clothing. He was possibly using an e-scooter. Police said it is believed that the suspects had a dog with them, which may have been injured during the incident.
