Man, 36, sought in connection with alleged assault in East York

Toronto police are requesting the public’s assistance locating a 36-year-old man being sought in connection with an investigation into an alleged assault in East York last week.

According to police, officers were called to the area of Dawes Road and Gower Street at approximately 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, for a reported incident at a residential apartment.

Police alleged a man entered the victim’s apartment, choked the victim and then caused mischief to the property before fleeing the area.

Emery McNichols, 36, of Toronto, is wanted on charges of assault and mischief under $5,000.

He is described as six-feet tall, with a a medium build and black dreadlocks.

An image of McNichols has been released by police in the hopes that someone can make them aware of his whereabouts.
