The view in the above photo is easterly at the intersection of Kingston Road and Queen Street East. The photographer is unknown, but it was taken in the 1960s.

The cost of petroleum at the Esso station would have been about 8 cents a litre when this archival photograph was taken. A token for the streetcar AKA the Red Rocket was 10 cents!
