Police seek help locating driver in hit-and-run at Queen and Jones that left 34-year-old male pedestrian with life-threatening injuries

A 34-year-old man has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car on Queen Street East at Jones Avenue late last night.
According to a Toronto police news release on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 20, the driver of the vehicle involved in the incident did not remain at the scene. Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the driver of the vehicle involved.
Police said a 34-year-old man was crossing Queen Street East from the north to the south side in the east side crosswalk of the intersection with Jones Avenue at approximately 11:51 p.m. on Monday, May 19. The man was struck by the driver of a light-coloured sedan who was southbound on Jones and was turning left to head east on Queen.
The driver of the sedan fled the area.
Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
