Spring Bird Festival at Tommy Thompson Park on Saturday kicks off migration celebrations

The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) hosts its annual Spring Bird Festival at Tommy Thompson Park this Saturday, May 10.
Bird watchers, families, and nature lovers to the park on the Leslie Street Spit where more than 334 bird species have been recorded.
Tommy Thompson Park is one of the Greater Toronto Area’s top bird watching destinations and is a vital stopover for migratory birds.
Saturday’s festival is free to attend and open to all. It takes place from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Tommy Thompson Park is located at 1 Leslie St.

Other upcoming events celebrating the spring migration of birds back to Ontario are set for May 17 (Birding for Beginners); June 1 (Wetlands in Watercolour); and on June 1 (Birds and Brushstrokes).
