No GO Train service along Lakeshore East line, including Danforth station, on weekend of March 22 and 23

By COLE HESSION
There will be no GO Trains service on the Lakeshore East line this weekend between Union and Pickering stations.
On Saturday, March 22, and Sunday, March 23, GO stations in East Toronto and Scarborough including Danforth, Scarborough, Eglinton, Guildwood and Rouge Hill will not have any train services as the Lakeshore East line is scheduled for construction work.
There will also not be any shuttle bus services at those stations, and transit riders are advised to use the TTC services near those stations this weekend.
A shuttle bus will run between Union and Pickering stations, but will not make any station stops in between.
Local residents can expect vibration, noise, and temporary traffic disruptions in the Lakeshore East rail corridor and on Birchmount Road due to geotechnical work and possible drilling taking place.
This weekend’s closure will also impact Stouffville Line trains between Union Station and the Unionville GO Station in Markham.
