Thank you Marj Rice for sending the above photograph of the house her grandfather built on Springdale Boulevard sometime in the 1920s.

Marj’s father, Gordon Quarrington, is seen in the photo sitting on the steps.

Marj informs me that this was the first house on the block and I believe her. Look at all the space around this dwelling place!
