Politicians in Toronto-Danforth will be hosting an online community meeting this week to update local residents on Ontario Line construction work.

Hosted by Toronto-Danforth MPP Peter Tabuns; Toronto-Danforth Councillor Paula Fletcher; and Toronto-Danforth Toronto District School Board Trustee Sara Ehrhardt, the meeting is set for Monday, Jan. 27, starting at 7 p.m.

“Join us for the latest construction updates, to ask questions and share your suggestions and concerns,” said the meeting’s organizers.

The Ontario Line subway is being built by Metrolinx, the provincial transit agency responsible for the building of rapid transit lines in the province. When completed, the line will run from Exhibition Place near the waterfront northeast to Eglinton Avenue and Don Mills Road, covering a distance of 15.6 kilometres.

This map show the route of the 15-station Ontario Line from Eglinton Avenue and Don Mills Road in the north to Exhibition Place in the southwest.

Much of the line’s construction impacts Pape Avenue, from its northern start by the Leaside bridge all the way south to Gerrard Street East. From Gerrard Street East, the line veers southwest through Riverdale and towards the Don River where it crosses over and continues its westward route to Exhibition Place. A total of 15 stops are planned for the Ontario Line.
