In Photos: Hair of the Dog welcomes 2025 with run and walk along the Boardwalk

The 43rd edition of the Hair of the Dog Run took place on New Year’s Day (Wednesday, Jan. 1) as local runners and walkers took part in the event to welcome 2025.

Wednesday’s Hair of the Dog, which featured both a run and walk, was the 43rd edition of the fundraising event held by the Balmy Beach Canoe Club.

Though the weather was wet, cold and rainy, the event still saw a large turnout of participants with the run/walk (which also included lunch afterwards at the Balmy Beach Club) sold out.

Beach Metro Community News’ Susan Legge was there to catch the start of both the run and walk portions of this year’s 2025 Hair of the Dog.
