One man arrested, second suspect sought in alleged robbery and assault near Dawes Road and Victoria Park Avenue

One man has been arrested and police are seeking a second in connection with an alleged robbery in the Dawes Road and Victoria Park Avenue area last week.

According to Toronto police, officers responded to reports of an alleged robbery taking place in the area on Wednesday, Dec.11, at approximately 11:30 p.m.

Police alleged two men had forced entry into an apartment in the area and demanded personal property from the residents. The two men than allegedly assaulted two victims in the apartment.

The victims suffered minor injuries and the suspects fled the area, police said.

On Saturday, Dec. 14, Masoud Ebrahimi, 32, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with robbery with violence, assault, assault – choking, forcible confinement, two counts of uttering death threats, breaking and entering, and failing to comply with a release order.

Police said they are still looking for the second male suspect who is described as five-feet, six-inches tall, 40 to 50 years old, with a thin build, unshaven, with short hair.

Police have released an image of the suspect in the hopes that someone can identify him.
