Singer/songwriter and producer Jordan Hart has recently released an EP perfect for the holidays. Silent Night is Hart’s take on some Christmastime classics including Little Drummer Boy and White Christmas.

Hart rose to prominence following the release of his 2021 debut album, Only Pieces of the Truth.

Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, he grew up on the West Coast before moving to Toronto.

Hart first began making music when he was a kid. His family was always involved in music, and he followed in their footsteps.

“My first instrument was a Guitar Hero drum kit, which I quickly beat up, so my parents moved into the piano, which taught me the technical side of music. I picked up a guitar shortly after,” said Hart.

After a touching moment during a performance at his high school, Hart realized he wanted to make music his career.

“During a high school performance, I had a song focused on the idea of the smaller person and people not being seen or heard. There was a lot of bullying in my high school, something I experienced firsthand, but when I played that song, everyone from all different aspects of life, including the bullies, gave a standing ovation. At that moment of connection I knew that this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life,” he said.

After years of touring and living on the road, Hart recently decided to settle down and make his home in East Toronto where he can focus on family and creating music.

In an interview with Beach Metro Community News, Hart said he has loved living in the community since his move in February.

“I love it here; the pace is slower, people have time for you and give the time of day to converse. It feels like a tight-knit community here, and I love that feeling. Some days it feels like a small town,” he said.

Hart’s most recent releases and projects can be found on music streaming sites such as Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube.
