Annual Riverdale Share concert in support of local charities set for Dec. 8 at the Danforth Music Hall

The Sultans of String will be among the performers at the 31st annual Riverdale Share concert on Sunday, Dec. 8.

The 31st annual Riverdale Share Concert will take place on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m. at the Danforth Music Hall.

Performers and bands appearing will nclude the Sultans of String, Jen Schaffer and the Shiners, Russell deCarle (lead singer and a founding member of Prairie Oyster), DALA, Mia and John Sheard, Trainwreck, the Frankland School Choir, Sproai, Rebecca Campbell and many more.

Of course, there will also be a visit from Santa and his elves.

All proceeds from the Riverdale Share concert go towards charitable organisations within the community. The Riverdale Share Community Association is a registered charity.

For the past three decades, the Riverdale Share has brought together many local talented bands, artists and residents for what is said to be a “wonderful way to start the holiday season” that supports a number of local charities. In past years, charities supported have included Blake Boultbee Youth Outreach Services, Out of the Cold at Eastminster and the South Riverdale Child Parent Centre and the East York Foundation Seniors Christmas Dinner to name but a few.

The Danforth Music Hall is located at 147 Danforth Ave.
