Police seek man, 39, in connection with alleged stabbing and vehicle theft in East York

Toronto police are asking for the public’s assistance locating a man wanted in connection an alleged vehicle theft and stabbing that took place in East York earlier this week.
According to police, the victim in the alleged incident gave a man a drive to the Coxwell and Mortimer avenues area at approximately 4 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4.
The victim and the suspect got into an argument, alleged police, and the suspect stabbed the victim.
The suspect then allegedly stole the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene, said police.
The stabbing victim was treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Ervis Broka, 39, of Toronto is wanted on charges of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and theft of a motor vehicle.
He is described as six-feet tall, weighing 220 pounds.
Police have released an image of him in the hopes that someone will come forward with information on his whereabouts.
