Notre Dame Catholic High School will be sending two runners to next Monday’s Ontario championships in Ottawa.

Trinity Bonhomme and Hannah Wells will take part in the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Association (OFSAA) cross country championships on Nov. 4 at Ottawa’s Terry Fox Athletic Facility.

Bonhomme and Wells were part of the 11-member Notre Dame team that recently competed in the Toronto District Catholic (Colleges) Athletic Association (TDCAA) Toronto cross country championships on Oct. 25 in Sunnybrook Park.

The team of 11 did quite well on all fronts, led by Bonhomme who was second in the Junior girls race and Wells who was fourth in the Senior girls race.

Coaches of the Notre Dame cross country team are Mathew Ennis and Kyle Toth. They said Bonhomme and Wells have been continuing their cross country training this week in advance of the OFSAA championships.

The rest of the team “feel happy they’re going to represent Dame and are proud of their achievements,” said the coaches of Bonhomme and Wells.
