Autumn Clean Up of Glen Stewart Ravine slated for morning of Sunday, Oct. 27

Local residents are invited to join the annual Autumn Clean Up of Glen Stewart Ravine, hosted by Friends of Glen Stewart Ravine, this Sunday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Those wishing to participate are to meet at the Beech Avenue ravine entrance just south of Kingston Rd and sign up upon arrival. Participants are also encouraged to bring gloves, wear boots and dress to get dirty. The clean up will take place rain or shine.

Local grassroot group Friends of Glen Stewart Ravine was created to act as an organization to further understand the wonderful resource and help to educate people on the issues facing the health of the ravine.

Sunday’s event is sponsored by Courage Foods (local grocery store) and Black Canary (local espresso bar) who have donated some snacks as well as coffee. There will also be activities for children (assuming there is no rain).
