Free Community Compost Days hosted by Toronto-Danforth Councillor Paula Fletcher this weekend

Free Community Compost Days are set for this Saturday, April 22 (Earth Day); and Sunday, April 23, at a number of locations in the Toronto-Danforth area.

Toronto-Danforth Councillor Paula Fletcher will be hosting a pair of Community Compost Days this weekend.

On Earth Day (Saturday, April 22), local residents are invited to grab their shovels and pick up free compost courtesy of the City of Toronto at Phin Park, Monarch Park, Kempton Howard Park and Riverdale Park.

On Sunday, April 23, the free compost will be dropped off at Greenwood Park and Wilkinson Junior Public School.

Those who wish to get the free compost must bring their own shovels and bags or containers.

The city will be delivering the compost on April 22 at 7 a.m. at Phin Park (115 Condor Ave.); at 8 a.m. at Monarch Park (115 Felstead Ave.); at 9 a.m. at Kempton Howard Park (150 Blake St.); and at 11 a.m. at Riverdale Park East (550 Broadview Ave.).

On April 23, the compost will be dropped off at Greenwood Park (150 Greenwood Ave.) at 7 a.m.; and at Wilkinson Junior Public School (53 Donlands Ave.) at 8 a.m.
