Between the cheers and the applause of a packed auditorium, talented Malvern students showcased their music and vocal abilities for a shot at winning this year’s M-Factor competition.

Five bands and five vocalists performed in the event on April 8 and were judged by a panel of music experts consisting of musician KC Roberts (KC Roberts and the Live Revolution), Malvern alumnus Jack Steinwall (Funny Funk Band), and music teacher Lisa Turcotte.

By the end of the evening, and after three rounds of performances, Carly Ream-Neal was declared the winner in the vocalist category while Orange Tabs got the honours in the band category (Matthew Sagar on drums, Lukas Stanchus on guitar, Joe Berardinucci on guitar, and Sam Casey on lead vocals).
