East End doctor cleared of charges

All charges that had been laid against an East End doctor last fall have been withdrawn. Dr. Oluleke Badmos was charged with sexual assault and criminal harassment in October 2014.

According to a release from Badmos’ lawyer, a report concluded the obstetrician gynecologist’s conduct and medical care was appropriate, and the allegations likely arose from “an unfortunate misapprehension of the care received.” After reviewing the evidence and the report, Crown counsel withdrew all charges.

Badmos continues to maintain a practice in the Upper Beach and retains full privileges at Toronto East General Hospital.
