Rain can’t damper Hamper’s parade
Families had umbrellas above and plastic bags below when Hamper’s Santa Claus Parade kicked off along Kingston Road this afternoon, but the drizzle let up just in time to let Santa stay dry.

Trumpeted in by the Malvern Collegiate marching band, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus were the hit of the eighth annual Hamper’s Santa Claus Parade on Nov. 23.

Organized by Community Centre 55, the parade travelled from Victoria Park Avenue along Kingston, Kimberley and Swanwick to the centre, where kids got photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and a few parents got shots with the Balmy Beach rugby team and Ontario’s McCormick Cup.
