East End Arts will hold an arts networking event called Create a Buzz! on Thursday, April 10, from 7 to 10 p.m., at 1298 Danforth Ave., 2nd floor. Local artists and community arts groups are invited to present their ideas and showcase their works at this networking event. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided. Neighbourhood Link Support Services is looking for volunteers to deliver Meals on Wheels in the Beaches community. Both drivers (with cars) and runners are needed to provide clients with hot, nutritious meals. A commitment of at least one day a week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. is all that is required. Join the Easter Bunny for his annual pancake breakfast at Community Centre 55, 97 Main St., on Saturday, April 12. A free tax seminar will be held at Community Centre 55, 97 Main St., on Monday, April 7. Presented by Liberty Tax Service, the seminar will cover topics such as how to prepare for filing taxes, tax deduction eligibility, and some of the common items missed when doing your own taxes. Mom’s Computer Help will hold an Easter computer workshop series at Community Centre 55, 97 Main St., on Tuesdays from April 15 to May 6. Each session is one hour long, beginning at 1:15 p.m. sharp, and will take participants on a journey of discovery and adventure via laptop, the internet and popular sites and programs such as YouTube, Photoshop, Picasa, Wikipedia and more. Take a virtual tour of St. Peter’s Basilica and learn about Easter traditions around the world. The fee is $49 plus HST. Register early by calling 416-525-5465.

Residents in the Cassels and Oakcrest Parks neighbourhood are invited to The Naval Club, 1910 Gerrard St. E., on Thursday, April 3, to share ideas about park improvements. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.

A Bernese Mountain Dog Walk will be held Saturday, April 12, in Kew Gardens. After meeting at noon in the park, walkers and their canine friends will stroll along Queen Street East to the boardwalk, where the dogs will have an opportunity to play in the dog park. The Main Street Church of the Nazarene is inviting the community to help celebrate the completion of its renovations at 363 Main St., just north of Danforth Avenue, on Sunday, April 6, at 11 a.m. The renos included an exterior facelift and making the church fully wheelchair accessible. The 76 year-old building formerly belonged to the Anglican church. Everyone is welcome.

Counterbalance Studio Pilates is raising money for Nellies Shelter for Women Building Fund through a series of drop-in classes. For a minimum $10 donation, participants can take a Pilates Mat and 3D Workout class on Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. and all fees will be donated to Nellies. The sessions involve working with stability balls, rollers and free weights, and no experience is necessary.
