In the 1970s, a cup of coffee at Have A Nice Day Coffee Stop would set you back 50 cents, and so would a bunch of bananas next door at Tony’s. Ann Patterson, who photographed this wonderful image at the corner of Elmer Avenue and Queen Street East in 1979, owned nearby Carter and Carter Camera. Thank you so much Ann for sharing your work. Look at that wonderful architecture and built form that the GBNA is working so hard to save. God help us if a something else (like a beautifully designed low rise condo with retail at grade) was built in the place of these architectural gems!
