Man dies after Fallingbrook hit and run

A 35 year-old man died in hospital Saturday, two days after a driver allegedly drove into him on Fallingbrook Road.

Witnesses told police the victim was on the road the night of Thursday, July 18 when he and the driver of a 2013 GMC Sierra pick-up truck got into an argument.

When the victim walked in front of the truck towards the driver’s door, witnesses say the driver sped up, striking the pedestrian to the ground. The driver then drove away southbound on Fallingbrook.

Thirty-year old Kyle Hazelton, of Toronto, was arrested the next day and charged with failing to stop causing bodily harm, criminal negligence causing bodily harm and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
