This view, looking northeast from the top of the Main Street bridge, was taken during the winter of 1953. This was called the York Railway Station. Today it is the Danforth station, exclusively used by GO Transit. Do you have an old photo you’d like to share? Call me at 416-390-2527.

I moved back to Toronto with my parents after 1 winter in Bracebridge around this time. We lived in Scarboro for awhile but moved back to their home turf south of the Main St. bridge down to Queen St. I can remember walking across the bridge to go to a little movie theater on Danforth near Main.
