Beach Metro News columnist and legendary TV reporter Glenn Cochrane passed away Sunday evening. He was 84.
His musings about Beach life and the ongoing saga of ‘Sturdy Gert McCurdy’ always elicited a smile from anyone who read them. Sturdy Gert said goodbye in Cochrane’s last column, published on January 24 of this year, when he retired.
Cochrane leaves behind his wife Jean, two daughters, a grandson, and a legion of colleagues, friends and fans. He will be missed.
A public memorial will be held at a later date.
