Arts On Queen, 2198 Queen St. East is pleased to be hosting a return visit by Beach artist Sheena Fraser McGoogan, March 3 to 31. Last May McGoogan, along with her husband, researcher and author Ken McGoogan, travelled around Scotland as far north as the Orkneys. In August they sailed through the Northwest Passage and down the coast of Greenland. Along the way Sheena took photos and made sketches of the small coastal villages and hauntingly beautiful landscapes she encountered. Back in her heated outdoor studio in the Beach, she realized these images on canvas. This exhibition is the result.
For more information about Sheena and a sneak peek at some of her paintings, visit sheenamcgoogan.com. For more information on the show and gallery hours, call Arts On Queen at 416-699-6127.
