Feb. 2 was a busy day in Toronto for East End high school athletes in Toronto District School Board sports.

Curtis Jack, left, scored a hat trick to lead Danforth Collegiate to a 6-0 victory over Harbord Collegiate in Tier 2 Hockey. Danforth currently sits in second place in their division.

Monarch Park’s Chris Yorke, right, gets an easy layup in the first quarter. Monarch Park Collegiate’s Tier 2 Junior basketball team beat Ursula Franklin 73-45. Monarch Park now stands in second place in the South Region with 12 points, six behind North Toronto.

The Malvern girls curling team, left, took some time to practise on Jan. 2 after their opponents forfeited their match. The Malvern team currently sits in first place in their division with 13 points. The boys team is in second place in their division, only one point behind Sir Wilfrid Laurier.
